SCUBA diver - Kemah Aquarium

The Aquarium restaurant located in Kemah is seeking part-time SCUBA divers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Properly clean and maintain the exhibits.

·        Maintain visual quality in the exhibits.

·        Feed and care for the animals residing in the exhibits as directed by the Biology staff.

·        While diving, interpret exhibits to guests using the two-way communications system.

·        Represent Landry's Aquarium in a positive and professional manner.

·        Maintain a clean and orderly work area.  

·        Communicate problems with animals and exhibits to a manager/supervisor. 

·        Other duties may be assigned at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Must be at least 18 years of age and must be able to provide proof/copy of the following: Open water certification card (PADI or NAUI), current CPR certification, 25 logged dives and 25 underwater hours. In addition, must be able to pass a dive physical every two years and pass a water skills test. Prior to hire, diver must pass a drug test as well as a background check.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be comfortable caring for and handling touch station animals, and comfortable dealing with special groups, children, and large crowds.
